Solar Eclipse Rite

Preparation

Be clean by your usual, traditional means. Check what time the eclipse occurs prior, and have everything prepared beforehand. Gather the following:

• White or Yellow Candle

• Black Candle

• Frankincense + Myrrh (cones or loose incense)

Set the black candle to the left, and the white candle to the right of you. Set the cones or brazier between them. Ideally, this will be done outdoors. Know all the stages of the eclipse if it is not visible to you in your location, these will be essential to timing the steps of the spell.

 

Before Totality​

Before the total eclipse, or before the ring of fire effect, perform the Headless Rite. Do this with all the personal variations you have, or as written. Then, recite what follows.

I summon you, Headless One, who created earth and heaven, who created night and day, you who created light and darkness; you are Osoronnophris whom none has ever seen; you are Iabas; you are Iapos; you have distinguished the just and the unjust; you have made female and male;  you have revealed seed and fruits; you have made men love each other and hate each other. 

I am Moses your prophet to whom you have transmitted your mysteries celebrated by Israel; you have revealed the moist and the dry and all nourishment; hear me.

Meditate upon this great mystery, and let yourself stand at the center of the cosmos. Then, light the white candle and burn frankincense. Recite the following:

Feel the presence of the Lord of Fire come, with his gods in tow, and see them standing before you, in the grand cosmos. Light the black candle and burn the myrrh, reciting:

Add more of each incense, or let the cones keep burning. In the moments approaching totality, call out to them:

Twin Titans of the Ancient Age, Twin Titans who forged the Way by which gods become mortals, and mortals become gods! Come together now, here before me! Merge O Titans! Merge and become One! One Being who shall be called

Repeat that final portion as you watch the Titans and their hosts merge into one, grand, cosmic being. Behold the many tools they hold, and how they manifest and present before you. This image will become a focal point by which you may access the power of the eclipse again. It is at this point, if you have specific requests to make, that you should make them. Note, these requests should not be simple or lightly made ones. Rather, if you have major blockages, major opposition, or require heavy-handed aid, this is the time to make those requests. If not, you may simply request the destruction of anything that keeps you from your highest goals. Behold all of these becoming incinerated and consumed in the void-sun that is the eclipse. Honor these powers as you see fit in this moment.

Once the merger is complete, and you are ready to release them, recite the following.

This time of thy merging has come to completion. I adore thee, I give thee praise!

And bid thee move, separate, and return thee to thy dwellings. Return now, that thy merging is over, to thy proper abodes and habitations. But ensure my prayers hold true, ensure my magic is rightly wrought, and ensure that I am protected against all baneful rays of thy merging.

See all the spirits return to their habitations in the heavens and the earth, and watch their powers infuse into her body.

See now their powers radiate into yourself, and integrate them into your bodies as you see fit. Give a final adjuration to the gods and daimones, and close out as you normally would. Anoint yourself with oil and remain pure throughout the day, allowing the forces to settle within you.
